As we’ve devoted the month of December to being with our families, we’ve also spent this time in prayer for 2015, asking the Lord to show us how we can be good stewards of everything He has blessed us with — at home, at work, and with this amazing community.
And there is one thing we know for sure . . .
Being in God’s Word every day is foundational to everything we do, not just for Deeper Waters, but in our everyday lives as well, which is why we’re such believers in having a community for accountability.
Team 365 is that community here at Deeper Waters.
As we’ve prayed about 2015, one thing we’ve felt compelled to do is create a Bible reading plan that slows the pace and goes deeper. And this Bible Reading Plan is FREE!
Basically, here’s how the reading plan looks:
1. It’s ONE chapter a day.
And when a chapter is quite long — like in the gospel of Luke — the chapters are divided in half. So it’s only half of a chapter on those days.
Also, if the storyline breaks off abruptly at the end of a chapter, then the daily reading ends where there is a natural break in the story instead, while still keeping the same approximate length for each daily passage.
2. There’s an optional 5-DAY reading plan and an optional 7-DAY reading plan.
On Monday through Friday, the plan reads through a designated book of the Bible — one chapter each day.
On Saturday and Sunday, the plan is for one or two psalms.
3. Any regular Bible will work.
4. Deeper Waters will continue to post devotionals — based on the daily reading — on the Team 365 blog, Monday through Friday.
