DAY 25

Read: Luke 13:1-17

A women bent. Unable to stand tall. For 18 long years. Bound by infirmity.

But she came to hear Jesus teach. She didn’t come forward. She didn’t reach for His hand or His hem. She hung back. But she came.

And He saw her there. Jesus saw her and called out to her.

“Woman, you are free of your disability.”

Then Jesus laid His hands on her, and instantly she was restored. First His word, then His touch.

The woman’s disability was obvious to all who saw her. But every woman — indeed, every soul — carries a brokenness inside her. Some kinds of brokenness are less obvious than others. But Jesus sees them all. He sees us all. And He sees all that is broken, even deep within, in the hidden parts of our lives that others can’t see. He sees. He knows.

And He calls us to Him today. He reaches out His hand to restore.

By His grace we are untied, unbound. By His love we are set free.
